What You Will Learn in the PALS Course
Airway Management for Infants and Children
- Hands-on practice inserting
endotracheal (ET) tubes,
oropharyngeal airways (OPA), and
nasopharyngeal airways (NPA) specifically for infants and pediatric patients
Medication Administration
- Learn and review appropriate medications used in pediatric resuscitation, including dosages and indications.
EKG Rhythm Interpretation
- Identify and manage common
pediatric cardiac arrhythmias through EKG rhythm review
ROSC (Return of Spontaneous Circulation)
- Understand how to recognize and respond to ROSC in pediatric patients during resuscitation efforts
